Alhaji Shehu Shagari’s journey began in the rural classrooms of the North, where he instilled knowledge as a schoolmaster long before he walked the corridors of power as Nigeria’s first executive President. Throughout his political career, his heart never left the classroom. His administration drove a massive expansion of secondary education and pioneered the establishment of the Federal Universities of Technology, ensuring Nigeria’s curriculum evolved to meet the demands of a modern world. For his humility in leadership, his devotion to expanding technical knowledge, and his lifelong service to the classroom, Alhaji Shehu Usman Shagari is posthumously inducted into the Education Hall of Fame.”
